We really like the Brother FreeMotion Grip, often called a horseshoe grip, because it lets you grab your fabric securely and stops your fingers from slipping around when you are trying to do that tricky free motion. You don’t need to own a Brother-branded machine to use this horseshoe; it can be used on any sewing machine and benefits from having an extension table under it to help spread out your quilting work area. If you’re attempting free motion, this is a great way to build your confidence and feel more secure about what you’re doing. We highly recommend adding an extension table to your workspace, making things much easier, particularly when you’re working on big free motion projects.
